Perbadanan tabung pendidikan tinggi nasional Malaysia(PTPTN) was established to help students gain entry to higher level institution of education in public (IPTA ) and private (IPTS)sectors.
This PTPTN loan study loans programs was established in 1999 and is mainly focused on student who have gained admission to local universities but are unable to futher their studies due to financial constraints.
Applications are only open to students who have gained admission at local universities or private colleges PTPTN will evaluates the financial background of the applicant’s family before approving the application decision made by the authority is final. No correspondence will be entertain
All the requirements above are subject to change by PTPTN from time to time.
Total amount of PTPTN Study Loan available: First Degree
Local public institute of higher learning-IPTA students RM 6500
Local private institute of higher learning - IPTS students RM 16000
IMU students RM 20000
Science stream students will have additional RM500 p.a.(incentive loans not including administration cost)
Diploma
RM 5000 p.a. for local public institute - IPTA students; applicable for both (arts & science) streams.

PTPTN loan!!! Is it really HELP student or BURDEN student?

Em...Actually,PTPTN exist for one reason to help all the IPTA and IPTS student for their financial.I want to ask you all,did you take the PTPTN? You can do many thing with that money.I think you can have many problem if you not take it.How you want to buy some book with the expensive price? Ha...that why i said PTPTN is very useful to us.
But at the same time,it will be burden to the student.Why,because it is not like "biasiswa" that we didn't need to pay back to the government.We must to pay back.If not,maybe i will see u at the jail.Ha3....

but the problem is sometimes i feel ptptn burden students.
with high interest,we have to pay back..
so,dont waste you loan k..lets put it somewhre or we invest it.make some saving..its about your future....aha..

everyday is like a leaves of money.the world now is depend on the value on the paper.
so,if you got ptpn or not,you still been burden..
so i dont know who should be blame.
ptptn help many students in malaysia including me...sometimes i use a lot of mioney but i does not know where i spend the money..can all of you help me to manage my ptptn loan??hehe..
but,without that money i think i can't survive my life in campus other than my parent's money..

It really helpful to the one who can manage it but its also can be a burden to the one who overspend it.
maybe after we pay a "yuran" and book we still have about Rm1500, its still a lot of money you know.
Why dont you invest it in something that can double it up or just keep it in the bank until you graduates. if you keep it in the bank and not use it, when you graduates and do not find any job, you can use that money to start the bussiness.
But you're not, overally everyone kept thinking "how i want to spend this money" or "i'll get new stuff with this money"....
so, the conclussion is, don't blame 100% on PTPTN because it burden you because like i said before it really helpful to the one who can manage it but its also can be a burden to the one who overspend it.

ptptn is burden to me.I must pay it back with an interest.If I not working yet where I want to get some money for pay it.Of course I dont want my parents to pay it bcoz the owe is me not my parents.dats why i dont want take ptptn. Eventhough my loan juz MAS (mak abah support)less than the amount of ptptn but i still enough to eat,can buy wut i want.So far i dont have troubling with money lar..
I dont understand with the student who take ptptn but still ask their parents for money.Ptptn not enough??huhuhu.I dont think so.if u wise to manage ur money maybe u dont have problem with ur money.No need laa to show off with ur branded things,new handphone and so on if u buy it using ptptn money.shame lar show off with things buy using ptptn....

I have no idea what to say about PTPTN. People who need the money for studying needs them but they have to pay for it. Rumours had it that students with great academic achievement doesn't need to pay back the loan.
Some people doen't need PTPTN loan and half of them apply for it.
