Our topic for tis week is RAPE.
Here is a numberfor you:354670.That is the number of women that were raped in 1995 in United States.That’s mean,equivalent of one women being raped in two minutes.Want more number?
In the last two year,more than 787000 women were the victim of a rape or sexual assault,but only 37% of raped are reported by authorities.
When we say word “rape”,people automatically think of a stranger jumping out of the bushes or chasing you down an ally.Actually,rape is define as “forced,manipulated or coerced sexual contact by someone either you know him or not”.
For your information,rape can be occur when a man and a woman are alone whether in car or at home.Also,drugs and alcohol can drive you to date rape.According to research,many of the victim said that they are drank too much or took too many drugs but after they wake up,it was late.Another reason why rape occur,the misunderstand of woman friendliness.For example,the woman is a friendly person.So,she easy to communicating and friendly to people.And the man will misunderstand on woman friendliness.They might think that it was signal or “invitation” to have sex.
The reason that men do this because they think that they are tought to be aggressive and controlling at early age.Actually,as the person that have the strength mire than women,they should be protective to women,not assume that women as a sex object.Women are human being too.Men should relize that this attitude can lead them to date rape.
However,,women should know how to prevent rape before it happened.There are many steps you can take to prevent being raped.The first step is be psychologically prepared because women must accept the fact that they are potential to be rape victim.Second step is to be aware of community rape prevention and counseling.The third psychological step is to recognize the location and situation where rape is mostly happened.So that we can avoid it.

there was an issue about student's uniform a few months ago. It was stated that school kid's uniform is too thin n can see through and that is one factor that contributes to rape.
Is tat true. All of u have been to schools before and had the same uniform for so many years! Wat do u tink of tis?
As a woman,we have to protect our self and must be alert with our surrounding before we going out....and this is also caN HELP us to prevent a rape...juz safetly take care our self....anyway shahira u have give a new idea for me about rape cases....:p

wow!!tis is vry interesting isssue.in my opinion teens nwdays are vry expose to the outside and influence by other's friends.it sis better to the gurl realise wat ve she can done bfore anything bad happen to her.and all the student wear the school's uniform that are thin,cause in my school we ve instruction to wear camisole everyday eventhough the uniform is not thin...
so,i tink that evrything is come from ourself whether want to realise or not.

i do agree wif ur point there, but then again, there are also other factors that rape cases can actually haoppened. for example; even if u don't go out on dates with people u don't know, women are still running a high risks of getting raped. u can say that we have to care for ourselves, but still, no matter how hard u protect urself, u still can't run away from that risk! Men should not be blamed only under certain circumstances. There are cases or being raped by people u know! how to protect then? mmm.... try to think k.

u r rite too. students in schools shsould be advised to wear camisole everyday. Not only to schools but also whenever they are wearing shits which are too transparent.
Teachers or Lecturers and even parents or good friends should inform these gurls if they are wearing too thin or too transparent. Good idea. i like that. :0

but why we still can't solve the problem????
well i thinks we can't simply said that only man who are guilty...gurlz also can be blame for the certain reason...

this is a step to prevent rape cases that happen nowdays..and thi is only my opinion...
juz Be clear about what you are seeking from your relationship. If you do not know, ask the person you are seeing to give you some time to figure things out. Do not lay around, flirt, or give them signs that you don't feel well. Do not let anyone pressure you into doing anything you do not feel is right.
Besides that,avoid being alone with anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Your instincts will tell you which situations to remove yourself from. If you are invited to have tea or a drink with someone new- even during broad daylight DO NOT GO ALONE. Take a friend or friends with you- it can prevent many misunderstandings, and in many parts of the world it is okay to take friends with you without getting permission first- and even if it isn't okay, who cares? Take care of yourself first.

*Call your parents if you are stranded somewhere- or a friend who will come and get you. What's the worst thing you parents can do compared to being raped, killed, or any other unfortunate things? Never feel that you can't call a parent or a close friend.

Usually, when came to rape issue, all the blame is only for the man only.I wonder myself.Can be the rape be happen without any intercourse between two different gender.As we considered that the man is already guilty,how about the opposite partner.Are they really fooled by love or it just another "crossing-line" friendship? forced? manipulated?How do we know that?Even the judge don't know how to differentiate it.
For me, i always think like this.Rape is a criminal that involved "human nature".When opposite gender have same feeling,should we consider it not rape.It just SEX?.How about the "rough" sex?Is that not "rape"?I'm also not sure about that.
Well, this issue is very complicated to find the truth depend on the situation.Others factors like drugs and alcohol also contribute the rape cases are still can't put aside.what we can do is better taking care of ourselves.No matter "where", no matter "who".Even parent can commit that crime.

This sensitive issue can make people feel not better...

Rape is forced or unwanted sexual intercourse can happen to both men and women of any age.A rapist uses actual force or violence or the threat of it to take control over another human being.Some rapists use drugs to take away a person's ability to fight back.Rape is a crime, whether the person committing it is a stranger, a date, an acquaintance or a family member.No matter how it happened, rape is frightening and traumatizing.People who have been raped need care, comfort, and a way to heal.
What's the right thing to do if you've been raped?Take care of yourself in the best way for you.For some people, that means reporting the crime immediately and fighting to see the rapist brought to justice.There are three things that everyone who has been raped should do such as:
-Know that the rape wasn't your fault
-Seek medical care
-Deal with your feelings

In my opinion, girls should know how to protect themselves and guys should know how to give advices to their girlfriends, sisters and their relatives which are girls.
Rape cases can be prevented if we all work together. They say that guys can prevent raping a girl by marrying early. Especially in desperate times. People should already know how to differentiate between good and evil. Bad things should be prevented while good things should be done frequently.

I do not agree with u.Why u just blaming the men only.This is not fair....Do u see what had happened with the women especially the teenager like us today? i have two factors that contributes rape case.
We see about women's cloth.Do u think they were wearing the cloth that were suitable with muslim like us?
About their boyfriends.Her boyfriend just ask him to go out.Automatically,she agree to follow him.Why? Because he is your boyfriend? Em.......

Rape is the worst thing and unfortunate situation of being raped. Normally when we heard about rape, certain people might be find the reason to blame someone. People should stop blaming, and try to do something. For me, blaming doesn’t change anything. In my opinion, rape can happen to anybody. It is a difficult situation to deal with and it’s not an overnight solution, but we can reduce the number of raped if we use are heads. I agree with Shahira which women should know how to prevent rape before it happened. Women must know what to do and be more careful. Besides, try to avoid locations and situations where rape is more likely occur.
I have read one article about rape.. The article is Malay article that have say, one of the reason rape occur is when the victim was dating with the her boyfriend. many of them have been misuse the word of 'dating'. It's mean, dating is the time which among couple spend with doing sex. As a man, he must be respect the stand and avoid feeling to angry if his desire when his girlfriend decline doing sex. In addition, certain men assume that everything that they have given to his girlfriend must be pay back by doing sex. And this time, a women have no choice. Weather willing to do so or not. Yesterday (19th Jan), the case of 3 Indonesian men were caught n shot dead due to almost 200 robbery cases as well as rape cases towards their victims!
It's vicious and unforgivable as it has resulted in many traumas wif the victims.
There are many factors tat could contribute to rape, to many in fact n till today it's very hard for us to say whose fault is tat.
Anyway, nowadyas not only the women are victims of rape, even men are being raped too! Hilarious rite, but it's true, there are cases where men got raped too! so, tink bout tat...
n Borhan, rape n having many sexual partner is different. simply put, one is without the consent n the other one is with consent.
